Nurse Manager Monitor
The Nurse Manager Monitor (NNM) is responsible to assist the facility manager in the following areas:
- Assume oversight for the clinical operations and provisions of services including providing expertise and guidance for the facility's personnel for achieving and maintaining compliance with ESRD licensing rules.
- Evaluate direct patient care staff, management and support staff qualifications, and competency to ensure their ability to provide safe and appropriate care and services to patients in a manner that complies with state licensure regulations.
- Assess department functionality, monitor the facility's operations and staff credentials and qualifications, training and practices including on-going education and verification of competency.
- Review and revise as needed all staffing training programs and materials to include policies and procedures. Monitor staff adherence to policies and procedures and adjust training programs based on findings.
- Assist with establishment of an effective QAPI program; to include performance improvement plans where identified. The NMM should develop a culture of safety which focuses on root cause analysis of identified practices and establish a dynamic program that is consisttent witht he ESRD licensing rules that promptly responds to adverse occurences.
Nurse Education Monitor
The Nurse Education Monitor responsibilities:
- Provide nurse consultation and expertise for the incenter hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis program of the facility.
- Observe, consult, and educate the nurse manager and/or employees of the facility and shall assist with supervision and the implementation of the approved plans as applicable. Supervision of the implementation of the plan of correction will include on-site supervision, observation, and direction.
- Provide guidance and education in relation to the application of the TDSHS rules and regulations of the facility.
- Assist in development of tools and forms for the programs of the facility to meet the requirements.
Opening a New Clinic
- Provide certain services to assist with opening of a new dialysis facility center with in center hemodialysis and home program.
- We provide such services listed including but not limited to consulting and assisting the facility in developing and implementing required policies and procedures, establishing system for monitoring of adherence to policies, and procedures and in demonstrating ongoing compliance.
- Review and revise all staff training programs and materials; oversee re-training of staff on new and revised policies and procedures.
- Assist in development of tools and forms for the programs of the facility to meet the requirements for opening a new in-center dialysis program.
